Vicipoll Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Vicipoll, a component of the Vicilook ecosystem. By accessing or using the Vicipoll platform (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. The Nature of the Service

Vicipoll is a real-time, spatial intelligence polling system. It allows users to report and vote on physical situations (e.g.,

ELECTRICITY@NSUKKA) within their current vicinity. The Service is intended to provide community consensus and infrastructure data.

2. Eligibility & GPS Verification

Proof of Presence: To maintain the integrity of “Always Live” community data, Vicipoll requires access to your device’s GPS location data.
Verification: You may only vote or report on situations in your current physical vicinity. Attempting to spoof, mask, or manipulate GPS data to influence a poll from a different
- location is a violation of these terms and may result in a permanent ban.
- Age: Users must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiciary.

3. Anonymity & Privacy (The “No-Trace” Commitment)

Voter Anonymity: Vicipoll is designed to be an anonymous reporting tool. Your name, User ID, and specific contact details are not attached to your votes or reports in either the frontend display or the backend database.

Spatial Obfuscation: To protect your personal safety and prevent “home-spotting,” your vote is displayed on public maps using a randomized 300-meter offset. Your exact coordinates are never made public.

Data Minimization: We only collect the location data necessary to validate your presence within a specific @vicitag region.

4. User Conduct & Content Standards

While Vicipoll is anonymous, it is not a “lawless” space. By using the Community

Observation Feed or Reporting buttons, you agree not to:

Report False Information: Intentionally misrepresenting a situation (e.g., reporting “No Power” when power is available) to manipulate data.

Harassment: Using the discussion feed to bully, dox, or threaten individuals.

Hate Speech: Posting content that promotes violence or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or orientation.

5. Intellectual Property & Data Rights

Public Interest Data: The aggregated results of Vicipoll (percentages, trends, and map dots) are considered Public Community Intelligence. By voting, you grant Vicilook a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and analyze this aggregated data for the benefit of community development and SEO.

No Ownership of Trends: Users do not own the data titles (e.g., FOODCOST@LAGOS) or the resulting analytics.

6. Dynamic Nature of Data

Real-Time Updates: Vicipoll is a “living” system. You acknowledge that percentages and situations change in real-time as other users update their votes.

No Guarantee of Accuracy: While the system uses GPS validation, Vicilook acts as a platform for User-Generated Consensus. We do not independently verify every “YES/NO” report and are not liable for decisions made based on community data.

7. Global Compliance GDPR (Europe):

We process your location data under the basis of “Contractual Necessity” to provide the location-validated polling service you have requested. Since votes are anonymized, they do not constitute “Personal Data” once aggregated.

CCPA (USA): We do not sell your personal voting history to third parties.

8. Limitation of Liability

Vicilook and Vicipoll are provided “as is.” We are not responsible for any local infrastructure failures, security incidents, or economic decisions resulting from the use of Vicipoll data. The Service is a tool for transparency, not a government-verified utility report.

9. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to restrict access to Vicipoll for users who:

Repeatedly submit verified false reports.
Use GPS-spoofing software.
Violate the Community Guidelines in the Community Observation Feed (The Mesh).
